The Joint Commission on Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Special Report of the Ombudsmen

At the 45th session of the Joint Commission on Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, the Special Report of the Ombudsmen on the situation and cases of threats to journalists in Bosnia and Herzegovina was unanimously adopted.

The session was attended by the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, dr. Jasminka Džumhur with associates.

In a constructive discussion, support was given to the work of the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and emphasized the importance of the special report for the overall review of the position of journalists in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The recommendations of the Ombudsman, presented in the Report, should be the basis for wider social action in order to improve the situation in the media field, as one of the elements of freedom of expression.
