The Ombudsmen of Bosnia and Herzegovina Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović and Dr. Jasminka Džumhur participate in the International Scientific Conference on Freedom, Security and the Right to Privacy

The Ombudsmen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr Jasminka Džumhur and Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović, participate in the two-day International Scientific Conference "Freedom, Security: the Right to Privacy" organized by the Provincial Protector of Citizens - Ombudsmen and the Institute for Criminological and Sociological Research from Belgrade on 16th and 17th November in Novi Sad.

Within the framework of the session entitled "The right to privacy - criminal aspects" the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr Jasminka Džumhur, will address the conference participants with their papers on the topic: Protection of the privacy rights of vulnerable witnesses in court proceedings.

At the same session, the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prof. Dr Ljubinko Mitrović, will present his paper on the topic: Special investigative actions and the right to privacy.

The Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prof. Dr Ljubinko Mitrović and Dr. Jasminka Džumhur will also take an active part in the work of the round table titled "Right to privacy from the perspective of human rights and judicial protection", which will be held on the second day of the Conference, in which it will participate ombudsmen, judges, representatives of civil society and the media.

The organization of the International Scientific Conference "Freedom, Security: The Right to Privacy" was supported by the Judicial Academy and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe - Mission in Serbia. Participants of the Conference are university professors, judges, ombudsmen, criminologists, politicians, ethics, representatives of independent institutions and journalists from thirteen countries - Romania, Hungary, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Spain, Georgia, China and Serbia.
