Ombudsman dr. Jasminka Džumhur visited Central Bosnia Canton

Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Jasminka Džumhur visited the Central Bosnia Canton (SBK) today, where she met with Prime Minister of the Canton, Tahir Lenda, Cantonal Education Minister, Katić Čerkez and Director of Mixed Secondary School "Travnik", Aida Lončar.

The central topic of today's interviews was the provision of the right to education of the students of the Travnik Mass Grave in Travnik, observed in relation to the execution of the judgment of the Human Rights Chamber and the European Court of Human Rights, concerning the repossession of the property of the Vrhbosna Archbishopric.

Interlocutors agreed that, bearing in mind the obligation to execute the Human Rights Chamber's judgment, that issue should be resolved in the interest of all parties with the participation of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Central Bosnia Canton Government and the Travnik Municipality.

During today's meeting of the Ombudsman with the Prime Minister, a continuation of the dialogue between the Ombudsman and the Government of the Central Bosnia Canton was agreed, with the aim of achieving the full realization of the rights and freedoms of the citizens of the Central Bosnia Canton.
