Ombudsman prof.dr. Ljubinko Mitrović talked with the director of the Correctional Center Tuzla

In the Seat of the Ombudsman Institution of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Banja Luka prof.dr. Ljubinko Mitrović received today Denis Husić, director of the Correctional Center Tuzla, to discuss the assessment of the current situation in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina where the juveniles in conflict with law are placed, with a special accent on the work of the Correctional Center in Tuzli.

Today's meeting of the Director of the Correctional Center Tuzla, Denis Husić, seized opportunity to express his gratitude to Ombudsman prof.dr. Ljubinko Mitrović for his support in the work of this institution.

In the further course of the meeting Mitrović and Husić agreed on the need to establish correctional/penitentiary centres in other cities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the Republika Srpska and institutions for the treatment and training of minors, all in accordance with the laws on protection and treatment of children and juveniles in criminal proceedings.

The Ombudsman this year continued cooperation with UNICEF in Bosnia and Herzegovina, expected result of which is the Report on Implementation of Recommendations from the document entitled "Analysis of the situation in the institutions where the juveniles in conflict with law are placed in Bosnia and Herzegovina", preparation of which will be contributed by knowledge from today's meeting.
