Jasminka Džumhur takes part in the GANHRI conference in Marrakech Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Jasminka Džumhur takes part in the 13th International Conference of National Human Rights Institutions on the topic: "Spreading civic space and promoting and protecting human rights protectors with a focus on women: the role of national human rights institutions", which is held from 10 to 12 October 2018. held in Marrakech, Morocco. Conference organizers are the National Human Rights Council of Morocco (CNDH), the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). The conference will provide the opportunity for national human rights institutions and other stakeholders to explore potential roles and contributions that promote the spread of civilian space, and the promotion and protection of the work of human rights defenders, with a focus on women. The conference will be finalized by adopting a final Declaration that will reflect the main conclusions of the discussion and guidelines for future activities. The conference will also mark the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Paris Principles and the establishment of an international network of national human rights institutions, now known as GANHRI, and the 20th anniversary of the Declaration on Human Rights Defenders.
