Ombudsman's Activities | 23.10.2018 Ombudsmen Nives Jukić and Dr. Jasminka Džumhur at the General Assembly and the annual conference of ENNHRI in Athens ENNHRI, logo Ombudsmen of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nives Jukić and Dr. Jasminka Džumhur will attend, at the invitation of Ombudsman of Croatia, Ms. Lora Vidović, Chair of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI), the meeting of the General Assembly of ENNHRI and the annual conference, which will take place from October 24 to 25 this year in Athens. The meeting of the General Assembly of ENNHRI is dedicated to the adoption of important management decisions, and includes the discussion of current human rights issues arising from the competence of national human rights institutions. The main topic of this year's conference is: 'National Human Rights Institutions as Protectors of Human Rights: Enabling human rights and democratic space in Europe'. The conference program contains high-level panels, as well as interactive work at round tables for more open dialogue and discussion. Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Jasminka Džumhur will address the participants of the annual conference within the panel entitled "Support to national human rights institutions in the context of narrowing the democratic space in Europe". The annual ENNHRI conference brings together European national human rights institutions, regional and international human rights organizations and human rights defenders across Europe. Participants include representatives of institutions and organizations such as UN OHCHR, UNDP, OSCE/ODIHR, Council of Europe, EU institutions and FRA, as well as civil society.
