Ombudsperson Nives Jukić attends a Meeting of The Joint Committee on Human Rights of The Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Ombudsperson of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nives Jukić attended today's 34th session of the Joint Committee on Human Rights of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at which, among other things, was discussed information on postponement of re-accreditation of the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Sub-Committee on Accreditation (SCA) of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI).

The Committee took note of the information on re-accreditation postponement and decided to forward this information to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will, in turn, inform the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the activities taken to redress the obstacles for the re-accreditation of the Ombudsman by the SCA.

Ombudsperson Jukić used this opportunity to point out to the need of holding a meeting with Deputy of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Minister of Treasury and Finance Vjekoslav Bevanda in order to inform him on the situation and implementation of the given recommendations.
