Ombudspersons Jasminka Džumhur, PhD, and Ljubinko Mitrović, PhD at Kick-Off Conference „Media for human rights“

Today in Hotel Termag at Jahorina Ombudspersons Jasminka Džumhur, PhD, and Ljubinko Mitrović, PhD together with Almedina Karić, Advisor for communications and international co-operation, are attending Conference "Media for human rights" including the presentation of the project „Mapping human rights in media observing position of citizens, vulnerable layers of society and media community in BiH“.

The Project aims to bring media, citizens, civil society organizations and institutions to act together and form a key force able to move forward and make positive changes with regards to the status of human rights in media in order to establish a platform for monitoring and promotion of human rights in BiH to be used for systematic monitoring and public presentation of human rights violation cases against journalists and citizens, especially against vulnerable and marginalized groups in accordance with standards and policies of the European Union in the field of human rights and democracy.

The project „Mapping human rights in media observing position of citizens, vulnerable layers of society and media community in BiH“ is funded by the EU, and implemented by the Consortium consisting of BH Journalists Association, European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) and the ProEduca Education Center.
