Continuation of activities within the project "LYRA"

In continuation of the "Lyra" project funded by the European Union and implemented by the Ombudsman Institution and Save the Children, the staff of the Ombudsman's Children's Rights Monitoring Department will hold workshops for high school students in Tuzla, Mostar, Bijeljina and Sarajevo.

The aim of the workshops is to raise students' awareness of discrimination and its consequences, as well as provide basic information about the institution of the Ombudsman for Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Lyra project focuses on the significant participation of young Roma leaders in the promotion of human rights and the changing of discriminatory attitudes and practices against the most vulnerable groups of children and young people. The clear objective of this project is to promote and respect the human rights of Roma children and young people. What is specific to the project is to support an informal network of young Roma and non-Roma people from Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Tuzla, Mostar and Bijeljina, in order to become positive examples and advocates for advancing the status of Roma in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
