Ombudsman's Activities | 17.10.2017 Ombudsman dr. Jasminka Džumhur was in an official visit to the Tuzla Canton Town of Tuzla Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Jasminka Džumhur was on a two-day official visit to the Tuzla Canton on Monday, October 16 and 17, 2017. In separate meetings, Ombudsman dr. Jasminka Džumhur was received by the Prime Minister of the Tuzla Canton Bego Gutić and Mayor Jasmin Imamović. The topics of the discussion were issues of importance for the realization of the rights of the citizens of the Tuzla Canton, with an emphasis on the implementation of the recommendations issued by the Ombudsmen to subjects from the area of this canton. During her stay in Tuzla, Ombudsman dr. Jasminka Džumhur also held meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy and Return of the Tuzla Canton, the Ministry of Health of the Tuzla Canton, the Cantonal Administrative Service of the Federation Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance, the Health Insurance Institute of the Tuzla Canton, and non-governmental organizations. Meetings discussed the outcome of complaints procedures before the Ombudsman Institution and the implementation of the recommendations, especially when it comes to systemic recommendations, and on the ways in which relevant institutions and civil society organizations can contribute to this process. In order to bring the Ombudsman institution closer to the citizens as a mechanism for the protection of their rights, in the Office of the Ombudsman in Tuzla (Alija Izetbegovića bb), on Monday, October 16, 2017, from 12:00 to 14:00. the Ombudsman Jasminka Džumhur was available to citizens of the Tuzla Canton who wanted to contact this institution in order to provide assistance in protecting their rights and freedoms.
