The delegation headed by three Ombudspersons of Bosnia and Herzegovina will examine the experience of the Armenia Defender’s Office

The delegation headed by three Ombudspersons of Bosnia and Herzegovina is in Armenia on a three-day visit, supported by the Council of Europe. They came to learn about the working methods and principles of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, which is considered as one of the best by the Council of Europe.

On the first day of the visit the members of delegation got familiarized with the structure and competencies of the Human Rights Defender’s Office, the work carried out with citizens and visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.

In the upcoming days, the delegation headed by three Ombudspersons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, accompanied by representatives of the Defender's Office, will visit places of deprivation of liberty, specifically penitentiary institutions and detention centers for arrested people, with a view to getting acquainted with the implementation of the Defender's functions as a National Preventive Mechanism.
