Ombudsman's Activities | 21.02.2018 Ombudsmen dr. Jasminka Džumhur at a workshop on the prevention of human rights violations dr. Jasminka Džumhur, ombudsman Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Jasminka Džumhur participated as a panelist at a workshop on the prevention of human rights violations, which, according to the authority of the Human Rights Council, was organized by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) on 21 and 22 February 2018 in Geneva. A discussion on the role and contribution of civil society organizations, the academic community, national human rights institutions and other relevant actors in the prevention of human rights violations were discussed at the two-day workshop. Ombudsmen dr. Jasminka Džumhur held a presentation at the first session on a framework approach to prevention. On that occasion, she gave insight into national and international practice regarding the prevention of human rights violations, and shared a rich experience and knowledge of this important topic with other workshop participants.
