Ombudsman dr. Jasminka Džumhur at a meeting with Council of Europe consultants

Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, dr. Jasminka Džumhur held a meeting today with Council of Europe consultants, Dženana Hadžiomerović and George Tugushi.

The meeting was marked by a discussion on the degree of respect and importance of the rule of human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with an emphasis on the fight against discrimination and activities implemented by the institutions of the Ombudsman for Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this domain, especially in the field of discrimination complaints. Ombudsman Dr. Jasminka Džumhur introduced the Council of Europe consultants with the planned activities of the Institution concerning the presentation of the Annual Report for 2017, as well as the special reports currently underway.

The meeting stated the need to educate civil servants on human rights, with the aim of improving the protection of human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
