Assistant Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Amira Krehić held today a meeting with representatives of the Czech NGOs "People in need", project manager Anida Cmanjanin and project development expert Sarah Prunier - Duparge.

The topic of the meetings was violence against women with disabilities. The meeting also discussed a project entitled "Supporting inclusion for people with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina". The project is supported by the Czech Development Agency and implemented by People in Need in cooperation with several partner organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main objective of the project is to establish a system of inclusion of persons with physical and intellectual disabilities in society, providing services for independent living, adequate employment opportunities and overall integration of persons with disabilities in BiH. society.

Assistant Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Amira Krehić informed the guest about the presentation of the special report of the Ombudsperson on the state of the rights of persons with intellectual and mental disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, held on May 21, 2018 in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the further course of the meeting, the Ombudsman's work was discussed, individual complaints, and issued recommendations.
