Ombudsman Nives Jukić at the session of the Steering Board of the Association of patients with melanomas from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mrs. Nives Jukić, attended the session of the Steering Board of Association of Melanoma sufferers of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in connection with the case initiated ex officio by the Institution of Ombudsman for human rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina and registered under number Ž-SA-04-50/18. at the beginning of this year.

At the meeting Ombudsman Jukić was informed about the activities of the Association to include the necessary medicines on the list of medicines for the treatment of patients with metastatic melanoma.

According to the information provided by the Association for procurement of necessary medicines under a special program, it has been agreed that the Ombudsmen of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with their authority, will take actions in the case in order to provide medicines and, in particular, to include them in the budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the next year.
