Press statement | 13.03.2020 Recommendation related to the violation of the right to access to information by the public commercial company Access to Informations On 08 November 2019 Mile Gajić, a resident of Banja Luka addressed the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the violation of the right of access to information by the Company Kosmos a.d. Banja Luka. He claims that on 20 September 2019 via his legal counsel, he filed a request for access to information to the responsible party, but he did not receive any answer by the time he addressed the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The request is registered under number: 2-22-2929. During its investigation, the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina contacted the responsible party twice, but the responsible party ignored the Ombudsman's attempts to carry out an efficient investigation thus obstructing it. Based on the above facts, on 25 February 2020 Ombudspersons of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued their Recommendation no.: 53/20 to the manager of the Company „Kosmos“ a.d. Banjaluka asking him to do the following: 1. Following the receipt of this recommendation to establish cooperation with the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina pursuant to Article 23 and 25 of the Law on Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina and furnishes Ombudspersons with the asked reply to their inquiry 2. Within 30 days from the day of the receipt of this recommendation to inform the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the measures taken on its implementation.
