Press statement | 23.08.2021 IHROBiH recommendation concerning implementation of public competition procedure in BH Telecom JSC Sarajevo Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina On 7 December 2020, Jane Doe (hereinafter referred to as “complainant”) addressed IHROBiH, in connection with the cancellation of the Public Competition of BH Telecom JSC for recruitment in Goražde HQ. The complainant sent the objection to the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina against Public Competition Cancelation Notification of BH Telecom JSC Sarajevo, Goražde HQ number 14.5-46-67416-25/20 and dated 23 November 2020 and against the Public Competition Cancelation Notification published in the daily Dnevni avaz and on the official BH Telecom JSC Sarajevo website on 24 November 2020. Following the investigation procedure and analysis of the documents provided, the human rights ombudspersons of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued Recommendation no P-193/21 to BH Telecom JSC Sarajevo on 9 August 2021, instructing as follows: “to enable invoking an adequate remedy for decisions in connection with the public competition for recruitment; and to provide IHROBiH with information about the measures taken to implement it within 30 days.” IHROBiH has still not received a response to the Recommendation from BH Telecom JSC Sarajevo.
