Press statement | 16.11.2022 Recommendation to Administration for Homeland War Veterans and Victims Affairs of Canton 10 Government – Comply with LHROBiH and FBiH APA– Failure to cooperate with IHROBiH Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina On 9 May 2022, IHROBiH received a complaint from A.Č. of Tomislavgrad. The complaint was registered with IHROBiH under number Ž-LI-08-91/22. The complainant indicated the Administration for Homeland War Veterans and Victims Affairs of Canton 10 Government as the respondent party, and the allegations from the complaint refer to the violation of the FBiH Administrative Procedure Act when conducting Renewed Public Call for Assistance in Housing of Homeland War Veterans and Victims and Members of Their Families no 10-01-37-96/21 dated 17 December 2021. In his allegations, the complainant stresses that on 31 December 2021 he filed a report to the respondent party against the renewed public call for assistance in housing of veterans and Homeland War victims and members of their families with the Canton 10 Administration for Homeland War Veterans and Victims Affairs, but that he had no information on whether the tender procedure was carried out in line with the Canton 10 Rulebook on the Housing of Homeland War Veterans and Victims and Members of Their Families. In order to check the allegations, IHROBiH addressed the respondent party on 9 May 2022 with a request for a statement concerning the allegations. Given that the respondent party failed to respond within the set deadline, a reminder to send information on the actions taken concerning the Renewed Public Call was sent on 30 May 2022. Since IHROBiH did not receive the respondent party's statement concerning the allegations from the complaint pursuant to Article 32 of the Law on Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Recommendation no P-199/22 dated 8 July 2022 was issued, instructing the Canton 10 Administration for Homeland War Veterans and Victims to urgently inform the complainant of the actions taken concerning Renewed Public Call for Assistance in Housing of Homeland War Veterans and Victims and Members of Their Families no 10-01-37-96/21 dated 17 December 2021, and then to establish cooperation with IHROBiH as provided for under the Law on Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The respondent party failed to respond to the IHROBiH Recommendation within the given deadline and the line body, Canton 10 Prime Minister, was informed thereof, pursuant to Article 32 Item 2 of the Law on Human Rights Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
