Ombudsman dr. Jasminka Džumhur at the Regional Conference of the Center for Women's Rights

The Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Jasminka Džumhur participates in a two-day Regional Conference entitled "Access to Justice for Women Victims and Survivors of Violence in the Western Balkans and Turkey during the COVID-19 Pandemic", held online on November 26 and 27, 2020, organized by the Center for Women's Rights and UN Women.

The Ombudsman will address the participants in the panel entitled "Pandemic crisis and violence against women" which deals with issues of (non) functioning of the protection system in the Western Balkans and Turkey in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, and how to improve the institutional response to violence against women, in conditions with and without crisis.

The regional conference aims to improve access to protection and justice for women and to define recommendations and tools to improve the institutions' response to cases of violence against women in the Western Balkans and Turkey.
