Meeting of Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović with EUFOR representatives

Chairman of the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović and his associates met today at the headquarters of the Ombudsman institution in Banja Luka members of the French liaison team in EUFOR.

Ombudsman Mitrović acquainted EUFOR representatives with the powers, work and experiences of the Institution, primarily on the work on cases related to respect for human rights, but also the Ombudsman's observations regarding the exercise of certain rights and freedoms set out in special reports of this institution.

The impact of the corona-virus pandemic on the work of the Ombudsman institution was also discussed at the meeting, especially with regard to the field activities of this institution, such as regular days and the "Ombudsman in your city" project.

In the further course of the meeting, several topics related to EUFOR's responsibilities were discussed.

At the end of the conversation, mutual satisfaction was expressed with the meeting and the readiness and openness for further cooperation and exchange of information between the two institutions was emphasized.
