Ombudsman Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović at the annual conference of the Serbian Association for Criminal Law Theory and Practice

The Chairman of the Ombudsman of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović participates in the work of the regular annual conference of the Serbian Association for Criminal Law Theory and Practice, which is held on the topic "Injured Person and Criminal Legal Instruments of Protection (International Legal Standards, Norms and Practice)" from 9 to 11 September this year on Zlatibor.

At this year's Conference of the Association, Ombudsman Mitrović presents the topic: "Compensation for damage caused by unjustified deprivation of liberty in the criminal legislation of the Republika Srpska."

The goal of the organizers is to professionally and critically consider the theoretical and practical aspects of a large number of open issues concerning the manner of standardization and application of norms that adequately protect the rights of these procedural entities. In addition to the issue of criminal law aspects of protection of victims of crime, two round tables on "COVID 19 and the functioning of the judiciary (experiences and recommendations)" and "Law on Juvenile Delinquents and Criminal Protection of Juveniles (15 years later)" will be held within the Conference.

This year's Conference of the Association is held in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia, the Judicial Academy from Belgrade and the Institute for Criminological and Sociological Research from Belgrade, and eminent representatives of criminal law and practice participate in its work as referents and guests.
