Ombudsman's Activities | 16.09.2021 Ombudsmen Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović and Dr. Jasminka Džumhur in Moscow on the occasion of the elections in Russia Moscow Ombudsmen of Bosnia and Herzegovina Prof. Dr. Ljubinko Mitrović and Dr. Jasminka Džumhur and her associates are on an official working visit to Moscow from September 16 to 20, 2021, in order to participate as observers in the elections for the Russian Duma. During the official visit, which was organized at the invitation of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatjana Moskaljkova, the ombudsmen will exchange experiences with other participants regarding the role of NHRI in guaranteeing human and civil rights of electoral and other groups. On that occasion, the ombudsmen will meet with the President of the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation El Pamfilov, visit the Regional Management Center in the Moscow region and polling stations in the city of Odintsov, as well as the Civil Chamber of the Russian Federation. During his stay in Moscow, the ombudsman Prof.dr. Ljubinko Mitrović et al. Jasminka Džumhur will also visit the Public Election Observation Headquarters in Moscow and polling stations, and get acquainted with the work of the Center for Situations of the High Commissioner during her visit to the "House of Human Rights". The ombudsmen will use their several-day stay in Moscow, among other things, to visit the pre-trial prison in the city of Odintsovo, as well as pre-trial detention no. 2 Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Moscow. On the final day of his visit to Moscow, the ombudsman prof. dr. Ljubinko Mitrović et al. Jasminka Džumhur is attending the "Election Night" event.
